Psychological Classification:
Anorexia Nervosa

Definition:
A psychological disorder which involves conditions beyond out-of-control dieting,
eating restrictions often to a point close to starvation in order to feel a sense of
control over the body.

Symptoms:
1) Individual becomes seriously underweight, leading to depression & social withdrawal.
2) Individual are irritable & easily upset, have difficulty interacting with others.
3) Sleep can become disrupted and lead to fatigue during the day.
4) Attention and concentration can decrease.
5) Most obsessed with food & thoughts of food.
6) Collect their own "recipes".
7) Cut their food into tiny pieces, chewing each bite for an unusually long time.
8) Drinks water between each bite.
9) Presence of other psychiatric problems such as mood, anxiety and personality disorder.

Vulnerable Targets:
Professionals which requires thinness such as Athletes, models, dancers and actors.
Approx 95% of anorexia patients are female.
Statistics shown that 1 out of 100 adolescent girls has the disorder.
